Cost Increase for Hermitage Retreats
As of October 1, 2001, the suggested donation at the Retreat House will be going
up $15. The community has been trying to avoid an increase for a number of
years now, but with the many financial demands presently on the Hermitage
and a smaller community of monks, they have decided to hire outside help for
cleaning and preparing the rooms, and so the necessary increase.
Trailers will now be $70 per night and retreat rooms $60 per night. Their
aim is to offer simple accommodation to people according to monastic
hospitality, so if someone is not able to manage the suggested donation
they are welcome to discuss it with one of the Guest Masters.
